sight distance from riser

hopefully someone can answer this...

Will I get more, or less, max yardage out of my pins by moving the sight housing out as far as it can go from the riser?

...20 pin is all the way at the top and the #5 pin bottoms out at about 52 yards.  Would like #5 to reach out to 60 but....I'm out of room to move the pin.  Just wondering how much extra range i would gain/lose by moving the housing in/out.

thanks - B

You'll need to move your sight in if you're looking for additional yardage between pins and increased range.  Although I wouldn't expect to see a significant increase.
You can also lower your anchor point and slide your peep up the string slightly.  Moving your anchor point may be a tough transition and could result in poor form and accuracy for a while.
Not sure how heavy your arrows are, but lighter arrows or a faster bow could get you where you want to be as well.  I love any excuse to buy a new bow  ;D
I was in the exact same boat as you a couple years ago with a 5 pin maxed at 50 yards, then I bought a Bowtech with 80 lb limbs and now my pins are at 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80. My 40 yard pin gets me dead on at 30, 2 inches high at 20, and 2 inches low at 40.
You could also look at a single pin or even a multi-pin slider sight.
Lots of options to get some longer shooting in.

this is a great question i have always wondered why some sights are dove tailed out to 6 or 8 inches and some are fixed am i missing our by having a fixed bracket

thanks.  finally caught an afternoon off with no wind so, i'll try your suggestion and see how it goes.
