and i stumble, mumble..fumble.. argh..i had no answer!!
she hates shopping for me, and quite frankly..she is an awful gifter to me. it\'s like she doesnt know me..or worse..doesnt love me.

i\'m a bow hunter with a knife addiction that likes to take pictures and cook. and stays in shape mountain biking...seriously. i am the easiest person in the world to shop for.

she asks me for help and i just.. blaaaaaahhhhhhh...i got nothing. i dropped the ball.

now? she is asleep and i have all sorts of answers. SOB. i need to practice next year.

i am ashamed of myself. i think i am getting a sweater. and i dont mean a bad ass merino wool base layer either. i hate myself...grr..

someone call my wife.

That\'s why it\'s nice to have a running list you can add to or scratch off as needs change. Keep it on the fridge!

Easy fix. Gift card to REI, Cabela\'s or Bass Pro. That\'s my standing answer every year about this time! Bass Pro has thermacell on sale so likely where I\'ll ask for the gift card.

My wife is a good b-day shopper but it\'s for work or casual clothes not something I can really use! :)

Now, when it comes to shopping for her.....another topic for another day because that\'s definitely an area I can improve on. Not sure why she doesn\'t like the Bass Pro gift cards I get her? ;)

The running list is a great idea, Barry.

Cliff, I usually get ready a few months out and have some ideas on hand.

I am super picky with stuff and very hard to shop for.
So when they ask, I have stuff ready.

You say you like hunting, knives, cooking, photography, etc..... well, if it was a guy shopping for you, then you\'d be set, but I\'ve learned that hunting stuff and men stuff can be intimidating for women. It\'s like me perfume or shoe shopping for a female. I just have no idea.

Cliff, you made my day! What we have started doing is just buying our own presents and thanking each other afterwards. After 41 years we\'ve earned that right!

 That\'s what me and my wife do Tim. At least you don\'t get some sweater you don\'t want. ;)

my wife means well.... but she is also a terrible gifter for me. I am pretty sure she has given up. I usually buy something for myself.

Put things on Amazon in your \"wish list\".

I just scored a Sweet Potato fry slicer that way for Father\'s Day :D

Tonight, I\'m all by myself, and I\'m having sweet potato fries !

BLT with Avocado, Sweet Potato Fries with Sriracha Mayo...and now I\'m heading out for an evening pig hunt.

Being a bachelor for a couple days is sweet!!! :upthumb:

My wife & I have been married so long I can\'t even remember when we last gave birthday presents. Sheeeesh. Ditto most of the other gift days in the year. We usually give a gift on Christmas, but is not about the gifts then either. I may get some new socks or a shirt.
