Figured I\'d share some pictures of our adventure so far.

On the road:

Got the same camp site as when we scouted. We spent about an hour and a half cleaning cattle crap out of the area:

Came back to camp around 1:00 on opening day. The elk had passed through our site while we were gone. lol

Cloudy, cold, wet second day but we had smiles on our faces!

Sunrise on my first solo day:

After 22 miles logged in the first four days, I was looking at another 6 miles to get to another spot before sundown. I was really sick of climbing and especially the blowdowns. This summarized my emotions:

Horrible picture, but I know they are in there. This was 20 minutes from camp:

Spent the weekend celebrating my daughter\'s 8th birthday. We\'ll be heading up again this Friday for the weekend, then I\'ll be solo the next weekend for a long weekend. I have a deer and OTC elk tag for this unit closer to home.

I will say, I am enjoying The Hunt this year. Of course I will feel better with something on the ground but the hunting aspect has been fun!

It looks like you have found what I have: taking photos and sharing them is a big part of the fun.

Hearing the stories around here gets me excited for next week.

Great pics of you and the boy. I\'m jealous.

the first thing I do every morning is open BTO and see whats happened yesterday. Thanks for letting me live vicariously while waiting for 1st rifle.
