I just got released to drive again and then went to my pulmonary doctor for a routine visit... He sent me to get a CT scan of my chest which medicare has finally decide they would pay for... The results were not very good... The CT scan revealed 2 spots in the right upper lobe of my lung that normal chest x-rays didn\'t detect... One is 3 cm in size and the other is a bit smaller... After talking to my pulmonary doc we decided to have a CT guide biopsy of my lung... That is scheduled for Nov 23rd since I have to be off my blood thinners for at least a week before the biopsy and the biopsy doc is out of town next week... He and I both are most likely going to be in the deer woods but in our different areas I think...

I just wanted ya\'ll to know since some of you I\'ve know over the internet for a while now and some of ya are new friends... If you don\'t mind and do so, I would like to request your prayers for this Ol\' Arky...

I KNOW that God\'s will we be done in my life but it don\'t hurt to have folks lifting me up either... :D :D

Thanks for listening guys and gals...

Phil, I too am saddened by the report, and will definitely pray for you. As bnsafe said, the treatments are much better these days. Keep us posted, and may God watch over you my friend.

Thoughts and prayers to you Phil.
Like Derek mentioned, we have been chatting online for a long time. Many years!
Just how many years has it been since we started on the ol\' ElkCamp?

Arky, will be thinking about you while going through these tests and such.

For what it\'s worth, my Dad had a lung transplant last year at 72 and surprisingly Medicare covered it all. Celebrated 1 year a couple of months back! He hasn\'t used oxygen since the surgery whereas it was 100% before.

Brief update... Not able to type very well but the test didn\'t go as well a expected and I\'ve been in the hospital since Monday with a collapsed right lung... As a matter of fact it collapsed twice... Long story but I\'m home not still no results of biopsy since they didn\'t get a sample Mon and finally got one Tuesday afternoon...

I should know more next week but after the collapsed lung twice I\'m have a hard time doing anything... :downthumb: :downthumb:

Sorry to hear about the lung, Phil! Good grief, don\'t you know you shouldn\'t be playing football with the grand kids! Really hope the news is positive on the biopsy!
