I\'m watching a \"Hunt the herd bull seminar\" and he mentioned \"staging areas\".
After the bulls start breaking up, he mentioned that bulls will go into their \"solo staging areas\" and stay there for a week to a few weeks.
He said that they enjoy being along and are often irritated with other bulls are this time.
Bedding close too this year, this is where they will be often non-vocal, they will rub a bunch, and just hangout.
Does anyone have an experience with an area like this? Sounds to me that if you were able to time it right, you could come in on a bull in a staging area and rile him up with maybe some challenge bugles?
As a whitetail hunter, a staging area in my term book is completely different. A staging area to me is where a deer will spend a good amount of time before the sun drops down and they will move out into a field or open area.
So again, does anyone have an experience with areas like this?
Do you agree with what the guy said about bulls going into solo staging areas?
Would you hunt a bull in their staging area?
Do they also have staging areas similar to the one I explained?
