String damage advice

Had a dumbass attack today......  attempted to install a new G5 peep and accidentally broke 1 strand in the string.


Never had this happen before, how screwed am I?  Is the loss of a single strand catastrophic?  Need a new string?

i would replace it ! im sure it might be ok but with all the weight of a modern compound bow movement and torque lol i wouldnt shoot it

Like Cowboys said, im sure you would be ok but i wouldnt chance it. You may have the biggest bull of your life in front of you and boom the string goes crazy and breaks or something happens where you cant fix it then you SOL.  Check out Side Hill Archery Strings.
