stupid question

I know Weaver makes picatinny rails...do you have a link to what you are looking at? If it is a rail, it should be universal...

i think it will work. its a burris zee mount vs a ar pepr mount. i know the latter will work but more expensive. i think the first will work but not sure

Scot, are you talking about zee rings? If so, those will work on a pic rail. I couldn\'t find anything about a zee base, so I assume that is what you are talking about.

One thing to keep in mind if you are mounting a scope to an AR is that basic rings won\'t work very well. If you use normal rings, the scope will sit too low. I just went through this and tried to take a scope off of one of my rifles and put it on an AR...didn\'t work very well trying to use the same rings. I ended up going with this: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Niko...Ntt=nikon+ar&WTz_l=Header;Search-All+Products

They also have it in a 20 MOA rail if you are hoping to shoot it at longer ranges. Not the cheapest thing in the world, but the best option I could find when going through all of the options. So far I love it though. It allowed the scope to be lifted up higher and it also makes mounting it easier to mount it far enough forward to create enough eye relief. I struggled with that as well when using just rings.

Hope that helps!

thanks derek, i think im going to go with the burris pepr mount. will be a little more expensive but love it

Definitely a good choice Scott! I have used Burris rings on my other scopes for years and love them. Very solid products.
