Suggestion on a 1500-2000 CI pack?

Hey there,
Thinking of purchasing Badlands 2200 for a day hunt, but folks here say it's kinda uncomfortable and lacks back ventilation which I would not like to see when investing in a gear that costs over $300.

However if you Google out for hunting backpacks most expert recommend exactly the Badlands 2200
Are there more intriguing options for the price and better ventilation? https://wildproofgear.com/best-daypack-for-hunting/

Total volume isn't the most important feature here. I would trade some CI's for more comfort and dry back.

Thanks!

For the budget of the 2200 you likely won't beat it imo. There are some that really don't like that pack, but I used it my first 3-4 years out west and it works well. I personally do like how it carries weight, but it does get hot on my back. You can often find this pack on Amazon/sale for well under $200 so it's hard to beat.

That being said, if you can spend more get a Myster Ranch, Kifaru, Stone Glacier, or EXO pack. You will not regret it. I have a SG 3300 and use it for everything. This pack carries weight better than anything else I've used and packs down small enough to be a great daypack.

If you can bump the budget slightly, check out the Mystery Ranch Mule. It is a fantastic day pack and carries much better than the Badlands 2200 or comparable packs like the Horn Hunter.
