I have recently found your videos and magazine.  I have been reading through all the subscriptions and love the focus on what it truly takes to slay an Elk.

Thanks for all the tips and inspiring stories of real people getting it done.

I like the state by state review and am really, really, really hoping to see something on Wyoming in the next issue?

I love all the stories, and I can’t believe Mike left us hanging like he did… I’m looking forward to the conclusion to that hunt.

This past issue has been one of my favorites.  Good mixture of "how to stuff" and stories.  I kinda like the "to be continued" but it does suck having to wait to hear the rest of the story.

About the only thing wrong is that I didn't have a story published :D  Guess its time to get a pencil and get one put together

Great magazine, looking for the next one already

Ya, until you get more than quarterly publications I would shy away from anymore to be continued stories, three months is a long time.  Other than that love it, especially that it's not all the score that matters.

great issue id love to see more state break downs draw break downs kinda thing just for reference materials

Really liked the issue.  Especially about pre season scouting.  Implementing some more of those tips already.

Hunting with grizzly bears, probably one of my favorite articles so far. Safety issues and being back country savvy is important (like all of his write ups....camp selection, water, ect.). It seems like sometimes the magazine is always looking for that big bull/perfect picture......I also appreciated the spot and stalk article. Being able to add more tools to your kit when heading out hunting.
I like reading stories like that in the off season (this time of year) to tweak some skills/some gear/and how to approach an area differently. Personally, I like reading other success stories closer to the season. By then I have a game plan in place looking for some motivation!
Not trying to come across in a negative way....just things I like and would like to see more of. Always like Cams write ups too.

Is this mag about trophy, and bow hunting?

Oldman, no, Extreme Elk isn't about trophy hunting. It's about the adventure. In fact, we publish stories of small (raghorn) bulls, if there is an exciting story and quality photos to go with it. Our focus is on telling an adventure, and using high quality photography to complement the high quality stories.

The majority of our stories are bowhunting stories, as that is what we get submitted. Our mix within the magazine is a direct representation of what we receive from readers...all the stories are 100% reader submitted, and 100% public land.

so basically real people like us ? ;D

one day maybe ill send in one of my stories  i love it im sure we all would love to see more of this or that but to me its the best hunt mag on the shelf i wish it were 12 issues a year.

What about an elks diet and how the precipitation can affect elevation from year to year....
This can vary and be a big topic but could be helpful for new people starting, or for some going to different regions to hunt elk.

Elk biology and ecology would be very interesting; hunters can never know enough about their quarry
