Tag question for CO

I am trying to figure out if I should use my Class A elk tag on either Sex Archery or OTC Bull 3rd rifle season.  I keep telling myself to use it on the archery tag, but this is my 1st year archery hunting so I am concerned about getting a chance at a bull.  Then I tell myself you might have a better shot at a bull with the rifle and still have a chance at a cow elk with the bow.


If anyone has any insight I would appreciate it

Sorry 1 more thing, 1 of the reasons why i want to use the class A tag on OTC archery is the possibility of getting into some of the rutting action that occurs.  Is that enough of a reason or no?

The possibility to get into some rutting bulls is what keeps me going. Getting a rutting bull is easier but a bull that is still in his summer routine is easier then that. When they don't have all the eyes and noses around them from the cows it bumps your success rate up. Either way you will have a great time rifle or bow, it still is elk hunting.
