tarps

Anybody use a tarp along with their bivy set up, if so which tarp? What do you think the is the best as far as weight and coverage, kifaru looks pretty hard to beat. I use an oware Cattarp but only because I got a good deal on it.

I don't generally use a bivy with it, but I use the Kifaru Supertarp quite a bit. Lightweight, very versatile, true 4 season usage.

I have just started using a bug bivy under it because I have a hunt coming up that supposedly has a mosquito issue.

I carry an Etowah tarp. Go to the website and watch the video for setting up a tarp. It's only one way to use it. That's why I like a tarp. Never used a bevy with mine. I do carry a poncho with it. Can be used as a fly or wrap around open front of tarp.

I have an msr hubba and I use just the rainfly, poles and footprint at 2 lbs and plenty of room for my gear
