I don\'t check my schedule at work too far ahead of time. so when I saw the boss at work Friday, he told me good luck holding down the fort while he was gone. where ya going? Tennessee for the week. dang, that means I will be working a long stretch..... but, lets look at the schedule again. 6 days off in a row! boys, were heading to the big horns.... 5 days out in the mtns while taking no vacation :upthumb: just me and the boys doing guy stuff; camping, building fires, fishing, hiking, snow ball fights. 5 days until I see some mtns again, I cant wait!!!!! don\'t worry, I will take plenty of pics and gopro film!

Cool stuff!
Looks like the rains are moving out just in time for your trip.
It will be soggy!

I looked at the forecast, it has been good and wet out there..... I suppose the creeks and such will be full and muddy... good thing im bringing the truck. oh well, with the boys, I plan on fishing the lakes. I know last spring was extra wet, is it turning out to be extra wet again this year, even with the lack snow this winter? either way, the boys and I watched a few youtube vids, they are pumped :upthumb:

I just remembered a funny story from tonight. as i was showing and talking about the trip to the big horns, my youngest asked if we were going back to where we could touch the clouds.... he remembered last year in island park, going to Yellowstone, where we went up the pass and it turned to fog. from below they were clouds but up on top we were in them. we got out of the car and felt the clouds...... this was fun to us flatlanders :D making memories!!!!!!

That\'s awesome! Looking forward to when my boys get to those ages. Would love to be able to take them to the high country camping.

Nice!

I will be ON the Bighorn Thursday-Sunday this week(end). Been a few years since we\'ve fished the Bighorn River, can\'t wait for a few days of R & R.

Best wishes to you and your sons Gary. I am looking forward to getting out again in the mountains soon.

I love flyfishing the Bighorn on the Montana side

I found a free camp site off of red grade road, cross creek. 8300 ft. no water but it has a vaulted toilet :upthumb: its on the park reservoir. I hope the boys get into some cutties....

you bet! the only thing I have planned so far is when we are leaving and where we are camping. everything else will just happen. I like these kind of trips, no expectations and just having fun!
