This should be a great thread!

Ha! My sin just asked today if we could do some small game hunting this year. Can\'t wait to post up some squirrel stew.

I may buy a recurve in October for squirrel hunting and try something different. Past fall and winter ear surgeries postponed my desire to try a recurve. This is my year.

It\'s a banner year for rabbits here in Colorado this year.
They are everywhere but so is the risk of tularemia

Boy is that true! My BB gun has been getting a workout! I think I need a .22 with a silencer on it

I was mowing last night passed my tanks and thought I really need to clean my recent catch. I will try to post some pics of the critter, the meat, and then finally the cooked product. I will try to cook it this weekend. Mmmmmm it taste good.

I have eaten a lot of critters , Elk, deer, duck, goose, squirrel, rabbit, quail, pheasant, fish, turtle, frog legs, wood chuck, turkey, moose, bison, raccoon, muskrat, beaver, eel, grouse, antelope, emu, bear, some were good some not so good.

YUM! Frog legs gets my vote. Skin em, chop off the feet and throw em in a big pan of water. Sprinkle fairly heavy with salt and let them soak over night, or until they quit kicking. Then roll them in flour and deep fry just like you\'d do chicken. Man! I\'d sure like to have about a dozen of them right now!

That\'s how I cook them Bill. I have not had any for a long time. My son brought home a few last week. I will have to get some more to add to them. Maybe this weekend I will post a skillet full of sizzling frog legs pic for ya.

I harvested some more critters this weekend. Our squirrel season opened Saturday and I was able to shoot 2 of the 3 I saw with the 22. I made it out Monday morning also and saw way more tree rats. I managed to get 2 to sit long enough to make a head shot. Them little grey squirrels are like 2 year olds on candy and mountain dew. Lol
