i\'m feeling super motivated.
i was in a funk this past hunting season..in the beginning. whatever..i think i am over it. today, i had a big meeting at work and afterwards, bossman said to just go home instead of commuting the other direction to my office..he didnt have to repeat himself.i screeched off.
got home, wolfed down a salad and some bean enchilada and drove to my pig hunt spot. about 90 miles away..my wife works nearby, so i called her and confirmed a sushi date. traffic was a bear, but i got to my hog spot. tied a small ladder to my pack and hustled up a mountain. i had 40 minutes to get to the top and back..i got up there at a near jog. some of it was 45 degrees up. like a big stairmaster machine. i worked thru my sweaty vision and hung a few trail cams..and slid back down the hill. washed my face in a stream..dumped my sweaty shirt, put on a dry shirt and raced back 45 minutes to DATE NIGHT!! i wasnt late!! i was wearing my nicer work clothing and my hunt boots. i had forgotten to change. glad i had my mountain boots with me.
great sushi, some great japanese beer..a cupcake for dessert.
and did i mention my game cams are up early!! season starts Thanksgiving..i will go up a few days early to fetch my cams..i dont want them stolen. but where i hid them...i dont think many folks go there.
i leave tues for texas, but crazy rain is expected. hunt might be a bust. if you never experienced a desert rain storm, they are amazing and dangerous. whatever, we can only try and if not, i\'ll get quality time with my mom.
get home and quick..Fall Cali turkey. back to find dumb bird at the winery.
then January AZ couse deer. hunt is planned, vacation time secured. i feel like i am just ramping up!!
then march turkey.
i\'m happy i am motivated again. like a long lost friend. my motivation. i am blown away that i could scramble up the mountain today so quickly. riding and running has helped, and should pay big dividends!!
EDIT..forgot the best part!! i saw pigs. one big HUGE boar. he was at 30 yards, and when he turned to amble away, he looked like he had two bald babies in a leg lock.his \"package\" was huge..haha.
i had a pretty good day today. despite my phone call with my doctor. she lectured me. i didnt do a very good job rinsing my mouth after using my asthma inhaler. i\'ll spare you the gross details. i\'m now sick. doctor is getting me back with her prescription of the worst medicine ever invented.
