Three Weeks!!!

Hard to believe the archery opener in Colorado is three weeks from tomorrow. Who's planning on hunting the opener? I have to miss opening weekend this year but I'm hoping to possibly sneak out during the week.

3 weeks and 5 days for me. I will probably go out for deer the first day, but won't go for elk till the 4th-13th of September. Mostly because I can deer hunt where I'm at, but have to travel north about 4 for my elk hunting spot.

28 days and I'll be waking up in the NM mountains and chasing after the first bugle I hear....

I'll be leaving for Co in 19 days!

I have my archery deer and elk tags this season, so does my son. Our deer spot is 90 minutes away, elk is 4.5 hours. Our plans are as follows:


Aug 25, leave for deer camp.
Aug 26-27 hunt deer.


Sept 1-4 hunt elk


Sept 10-15 hunt deer with day trips as wanted


Sept 16-24 hunt elk
