thanks dan. as I am going into my 5th running season, I now train a lot smarter than before.... the first two years I thought that I was invincible and injured my knee and foot because I refused to stop and pushed too hard. they still hurt to this day. I am not out there to win anything, just doing it is good enough for me. and I haven\'t been last yet!
on a side note, I also just signed up for another half marathon in march, that I ran in last year. the earlier you sign up, the cheaper the race fee is.
I made it past the holidays weighing at 190 lbs, that is the least I have weighed at this time of year for the passed several years.... I have only gained 4 pounds since Idaho I usually start the running season at around 200 lbs..
It\'s good to hear that you\'ve been keeping it up for a 5th year in a row now, that just makes it so much easier.
I ran cross country/track/played hockey in high school, so I have just continued running since then.
It\'s one of the best things you can keep up for overall health. I prefer distance running too, so I wish you the best of luck on your half marathon.
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY and don\'t run through that pain again. The best tip I can give is to stretch. Never skimp on it...
