Hello Elkaholics,
I've been reading this site for quite sometime and always find what I needed so I never registered till now. Love the site, choked full of great and insightfull info.
Anyway, my question stems from watching a few shows where these guys are just packing box after box of stuff into a enclosed trailer. Just out of curiosity, what the heck is all that? I know there's food, and maybe spike camp supply's and whatnot but what else. Cause the trailer is about a 12'-14' and its slammed full.

Most likely they are setting up for a large multi-person base camp with one or more large wall tents, frames, stoves, tables, chairs, cots, tarps, ground cover, kitchen equipment, packs, and the list goes on....

180proof,

When we go on a 7 day elk hunt with 3 guys, it takes a full size truck to fit our gear into....and it barely fits. By the time we get the tents, gear, packs, video equipment, and food, in addition to several coolers for 3 elk on the drive home, our truck it packed. I know several guys who hunt off mountain bikes with trailers, so if you add that in, a 10' trailer would be needed for sure!

Thanks for the replies fella's, looks like I got to get some shopping done ;D . I love telling the wife we're going shopping and it's all for me, the look on her face is priceless when we pull into the Bass Pro, Gander Mtn or one of my favorite mom & pop shops.
I've only hunted the hills of East KY and never have I had more than a back pack, and up to this point it's been useless since I haven't packed anything out. That day will come soon enough.
