Transporting broadheads

Wondering how everyone transports / carries their broadheads.

I bought a 10 pack of SlickTricks for my Alaska moose hunt and was thinking about the best way to transport them until I get to the lake and screw them on my arrows.

Ideas?

Not sure how you transport those easy. Pretty much every broadhead I have ever owned came in blister packs. I just transport them in the original packaging and have never had any issues.

i wouldnt open that package and take it as is.

if mine are opened, and i shoot 3 blade montecs. i use those big plastic treble hood protectors and stuff the broadheads into them. they work perfect.

Gonna be difficult to shoot a moose if I dont open the package :haha: :haha: :haha:

And when I do open the package, I need to transport them back home.

I\'ll prob look for a small plastic container and put some foam it in it

Brad, try Wal-Mart in the fishing section. Should be some plastic containers with dividers. If it doesn\'t snap shut well, put a couple rubber bands around it. I keep one in my bow case and it has a section with broadheads, field tips and string wax. And affordable!

Also have an old-timey broadhead case that just keep around because that\'s what I do with stuff I don\'t use anymore!

Oops - lied to ya. It\'s a 5 compartment.

Transport them in the original pack then used the plano for the way home. I have carried some extra thunderheads in a plastic box they came in along with a flat broadhead wrench.

oh..there is the homeward direction.

i do shoot Slicktricks as well. i take them apart. put the rings and ferrules in one tiny box, and the blades in something similar to what an elk call comes in. a clam-shell box.

Wrap em up individually with toilet paper and masking tape. They\'ll be well protected.

After further thought and rummaging around in my flyfishing gear, I came across a fly box that I think will work just fine.

That\'s looks about like mine Brad.

If any of the blades on the end are sharp and not practice blades cut another square of foam and put on top of them to keep them from moving around and dulling themselves.

Brad, I do the same as you with a tackle box but to keep the blades together and becoming loose on opening the box, I\'ll take a large safety pin and run them through the vents of the blades. Works well to keep all the blades together.

I know you solved your issue Brad, but wanted to throw this out here for others. I picked this up from Wal Mart for like $10 if I remember correct. Has a nice tray on top that you can remove with some good storage underneath, including a broad head holder.

Brad do you have any of the old slick blade packages??? I use them they only hold three but they are flat and relatively small and you can open them and then re pop them closed.

That\'s a great idea! Little wing nuts may be even better. Now I\'ve got another idea spinning in my head I may work on this week.
