New to the site and decided I would post a picture of the two bucks I have shot here in Northern Colorado. My first one was a nice 2x2. I wanted to get my first buck under my belt and he gave me plenty of meat. He was about an 80 yard shot down the mountain among the trees. He was hard to see, but got the right angle when I shot him.
The second buck I got was a nice 4x4. We were driving down a mountain road on a cold windy day, when we rounded a corner and came upon a nice buck and 5 does. They took off running around this large outcropping of rocks. My hunting partner dropped me off and continued to drive down the road. I carefully climbed to the top of the rocks and spotted the dear just grazing on the other side. Got my self set and when the time was right, I took a shot at the 4x4 buck down below me. It was probably a 100 yard shot. I dropped him in his tracks.
I have attached a picture of each of them. I am hoping 2015 will be a good year for hunting again since I will be back out and at it again.
My first 2x2 buck I shot I called Bucky and you will see why
