Well I turn to the crew here because I have a bit of a dilemma.

I need to change my colorado apps away from unit 61 elk so I don\'t draw...

Any advice on how to best do this???

The reason you ask, my cc got hit by AZ Game and Fish. I am archery bull hunting in AZ this year!!!

Try this.
Id put a PP as #1 or just put all crazy draw odd stuff like 201 or 2 (I believe those are harder to draw than 61)
that way you down get drawn and get your point.

Congrats on the AZ tag!!!

Wow, congrats Ryan! Looks like you will have a couple of awesome years in a row!!!

Searching around online using \"google\" I found this.

Withdrawing or correcting an application is allowed. Corrections must be done by submitting a form online on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website.

Application Correction Deadline April 11th

Thanks all. That was the same info I was getting from the web page. I was hoping there was a way I could resubmit my apps seeing as the deadline isn\'t until Tuesday. I\'ll likely wait until Monday to make sure the charge hits and then change everything.

Now need to brush up on tactics and get to know the country on google earth.

Congrats, Ryan... :upthumb: :upthumb:

You can change you app just for a PP and that way you know for sure you want draw in Colorado...I\'m not sure how much a PP cost no days...

If you put in for a PP as your first option does that mean you can\'t draw your 2nd? If that\'s the case I screwed up majorly,

No, it just means that your first choice is a preference point. After all of the first choice apps go through, then you will have a chance at your second choice. So if you could draw that tag with a second choice or later tag last year, you should have a good shot at getting your point as well as a tag.

Thanks for the clarification on that! Yikes, that was close. I submitted corrections to both mine and my buddies apps, it says they aren\'t guaranteed but hopefully they can get that fixed for us. Neither of the tags we want went into 2nd choice last year, that\'ll teach me to pay more attention.

Anthony, don\'t feel bad about it. We had some guys in our group that made the same mistake last year. The biggest thing to remember is that the CPW goes through all first choice applications first, then all second choice, then all third, etc.

Ryan,

Did you get your application changed?

What unit and weapon did you draw in AZ?

I got the corrections sent in. Hoping they get changed but CPW doesn\'t tell you that they are successfully changed. I wish they would allow a guy to change them before the deadline passes and resubmit.

As for AZ, my dad and I drew (separate apps) 6A Early Archery bull tags! To say I am excited is an understatement!!!

Wow, seperate apps to boot!!

Can you lend me the horseshoe? I have 3 more weeks for my draw results and would love to hold onto it when I look them up!! :)

We never meant to draw together in fact my pops had 7 more BP than I did. However I am a strong believer in the mantra that things happen for a reason so we will make the most of it.

Anyone that knows me knows that I am about as unlucky as they come. It was great to finally have the cards align and draw the single species that got me started applying out of state.

Now if that luck will carry a touch further to the actual hunt!

Having you and your father draw the same unit, separate apps, different points, someones watching over you. Just being together there makes it a successful hunt no matter what you harvest.
