Hey fellas I'm a new elk hunter, 1 hunt under my belt. I am trying to choose a state for OTC tags this year, so I could use any guidance possible. Looking to hunt either Utah or CO public with archery gear in September, so I would love to hear feedback from guys who have hunted 1 or both states in OTC units.
I'm from Oklahoma so pre season scouting really isn't an option, but I'd like to start by choosing a state, and quite researching both. Would like to plan a hunt for a couple guys, or even join in with a guy or small group. This could be hunting, or just coming to learn and help out to pay my dues and gain experience.
