I hope this qualifies as other game since it\'s the only game in town for me right now...
The early teal season opened Sat 9-12... I never miss the early teal season opener and I wasn\'t even thinkin\' about goin\' but the boys said they had me set up and lets go... After a lot of arm twistin\' I said ok... I didn\'t really feel like goin\' but I\'m glad I did... Both my son\'s and all 5 of my grandson went... We didn\'t kill but 14 teal BUT it was one of the best teal season openers I\'ve ever had and I never got out of the boat... Me and the 2 youngest grandboys (5 and 6 years ol\') played with lily pads and spent shotgun hulls and dead ducks and what ever else they could find...
I let The ol\'est son talk me into the next day and it was eventful to say the least...  We only killed 2 teal between 3 of us but I got adventurous and decided to get out of the boat... Ya had to be there... Oxygen slung over one shoulder and shotgun slug over the other... I did kill one of the two but paid the price... Where we hunt teal the bottom is very, very soggy mud... Got my feet tangled and went \"swimming\" as we call it when someone falls in the water... It must of been a sight... Me on all fours in knee deep water... I could get back up but after what seemed like a few minutes my ol\'est son helped me up and back in the boat... I\'m just glad it wasn\'t 30 degrees...  But I survived and am back to doin\' what little I can when I can BUT I did have the BEST hunt of my life on Sat... :upthumb: :upthumb: Now Sunday was a different story...
Now I can hope and pray to be able to be able to set and look for a deer in Oct and maybe even go try to shoot a duck in Nov, Dec and Jan... :upthumb: :upthumb:
