What rifle caliber/ bow setup do you prefer for taking down these giants.

I have killed quite a few elk with a rifle, but nothing compares to the thrill of archery hunting elk. I use a PSE stinger.

I purchased a Remington XCR 300 RUM for elk hunting then fell in love with archery hunting.  I'll probably end up using both.

I definitely enjoy my Bowtech Bow over a rifle, however I have taken some elk with a pre-74 308 winchester, winchester 270 and my trusty Ruger 7mm Remington Mag.

If I'm going out with a rifle I use a Weatherby Vanguard .300WBY mag

Mine has been my 7MM & 270 Remington 700's but I just ordered a new Hoyt Spider 30 looking forward to hunting Elk with a bow.
