Wenaha East, September 1-19th, Archery 2013 season


I've grown up packing in the high country with horses and mules. Done a ton of it through out the Rockies the last 20 years. Capable of climbing the mountains. Proficient with my bow.


That being said I have never stepped foot in the unit.
I won't shoot a dink.

You have access to those horses and mules? How many points?

I have horses and mules, but I have no experience or much time to create it in the unit.
2.5 months and counting.


I spent 12 points.

If you have elk experience you will find elk. It's steep and the bulls like to hold up in the canyon bottoms. Trails usually run the ridge tops. There is a east Wenaha hunt on Extreme Bulls 5 and Bugling Bull Full of Bull IV. Get a Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness map. Then get some USGS 7.5 maps of area.

After year after year of dealing with the camp......I Might want to be the hunter instead of the wrangler for once.
