Western Bow Hunt

I want to put in for tag next year to go out west and bow hunt of a bull.  What do you guys think is the best oppurtunity, best priced, and best state to bow hunt?  Do you all have any experiences out west with any good outfitters?

With a bow you don't necessarily have to draw a tag there are a lot of over the counter tags options in many states. I would recommend several options most start with research on what state you would most be wanting to go to. Then if an outfitter is your thing make a list of the ones you can afford and start making phone calls to find the one that can answer all of your questions and suits your needs. ( make sure to get references of both successful and unsuccessful hunts) There are a ton of places to get good information this website is one of the best, grab a subscription to Extreme Elk  Magazine and get the digital subscription so you can read them all old and new there are great articals that will assist in making a decision on what state to hunt.


We all have dream states to hunt or areas and it never hurts to apply for a draw to better your odds at a trophy bull.  So i personally apply to one area for a draw buy points in other states that allow and if i fail to draw hunt over the counter tags in another area that i am familiar with and go to as my fall back plan.
