In our heads we like to always think we have it together. I am highly trained by the military in many things, self educated in others, and I always think I can handle anything.

Well, when your pregnant wife (26 weeks along) calls you crying to say that she is going to the ER because she is bleeding, you learn real quick how much you may not have it together. I am a positive person and figured everything would be ok, but when you are that far away at a time when you know they need you.... it can really get to you.

She is fine, baby is fine, but I know she is still a little shaken up about this. So I am going to fast track my out-processing here and try to leave Monday or Tuesday now so I can get down there faster to cheer her up.

No need to reply, just kind of venting and just kind of writing this to remind people to always build a good support system, have plans for everything, and never take anything for granted.

I was very fortunate because I made a few phone calls and had people there to check on her and make sure she wasn\'t alone and to go let our dogs out while she was in the hospital.

Anyways... have a good day guys and gals.

I got to reply.... :D :D

Glad everything is OK with your wife and child and really glad you were able to be able to leave the 1st part of next to be with them... :upthumb: :upthumb:

X2...we had a scare like that. I was convinced we miscarried. Went to the doc to confirm...and the babIES were both fine  I went from thinking we lost a kid to finding out we were having two in a matter of minutes. Craziness!

Glad to hear all is okay Dan :upthumb:

Thanks guys, I appreciate it! :upthumb:
She is at home resting and the baby is kicking her like crazy, so that\'s good!

Today was definitely a little reality check. Derek..... still just one baby.
I have a feeling that when we try next time for a second it\'ll end up being twins......... both girls.

My youngest daughter in law is a twin and neither her or her sister had twins with each having 3 kids....

Hope ya\'ll do have twins down the road, Dan... :upthumb: :upthumb: :upthumb:

If at all possible, it would be a good idea to see if you could possible get your transfer to Florida completed a little sooner. Family is much more important than any other plans you may have. Your wife really needs you at this time. Hope she is doing better and everything works out for the both of you and that new little one.

I made some phone calls today, Bill. I got my final out date moved from Oct 12th to the 4th. So I\'ll be on the road next Tuesday and will arrive Wednesday!
I\'m very happy people were so understanding and helpful with me getting it moved. My wife is SO happy.

Glad everything is ok, and your able to get down there to support her. Things like this that happen in life put things in real perspective and make you take a step back and think.

If that baby is anything like you, your wife is gonna be kicked alot, and for awhile

Great news Dad !!! Safe travels my brother !! That was just your little guy saying get me out of here so I can start elk calling and shooting a bow !!
