This is one of my stands on public land in Nebraska.

The trees arent real big in the vicinity and I was curious what came pattern would be best.

It is only a morning spot - [pic was taken the morning on the trail the deer use]

I have been using Natural Gear camo but it is a just a shade too dark...

Thoughts?

I\'m not familiar with all the patterns but most are too dark. Your Natural Gear would be great in the grass! Maybe grey sweat pants and sweat shirt would blend in with the tree. It looks like a cottonwood.

Another option is wear your Natural Gear and sit in a chair 35-40 yds down wind of your tree stand. Then when the deer walk in downwind and look up to see if the hunter is in his stand you can stick them. :D

Predator is what I\'d use there. Lots of light color with dark thin lines running through it.

Fall grey is what I use once leave brown or fall in KY. Any other time it is spring Green.

I like snow camo for in a tree stand once the leaves fall but it doesn\'t matter one bit too the deer as long as you\'re still. I had 4 within 20 yards of me this last weekend in blaze orange with my stand in a Popular tree out in the open.

Francis you are right. Movement will give you away. I use to hunt in plain Carhartt coveralls and shot plenty of deer.

I want to know what your secret is in picking out the popular tree in the forest. Sorry couldn\'t resist...........

You got me on that one Terry. Dang auto correct. Should have said Aspen tree so everyone knew what I was talking about. ;)
