What piece of gear do you need for your next hunt but havent purchased it yet?
Why not?
Too expensive?
Not a top priority?

i bought almost all my stuff last year. dont need anything to hunt this year. now there are somethings i would like to have, but nothing i will be spending the money on

I need a monocular, but i\'m broke.

I picked up a Vortex 10 x 36 monocular ... right around $100, I think. I really like it. Light, quick, bright. For elk in thick timber, what else do you need? (I think they make an 8 x 20-something for about half that price. With Vortex\'s warrantee, pretty good deal.)

Gear for me?

I don\'t \"need\" anything, other than some arrows, which should arrive in the mail today. As for \"wants\", well ...

I guess since I don\'t have \"needs\", instead of getting stuff I\'d rarely use, I\'m upgrading the things I use often. Seems like a better place to put my money.

Long term plans: In the next two years, I want to buy a good saddle. But there\'s no sense spending money on that unless I\'m going to get a good one, and I don\'t want to part with a couple thousand dollars right now. So, I\'ll put up with my POS for a while.

Oh, and yesterday I found out I need about one-saddle\'s-worth of dental work in the next year. Is that \"gear\"?

I need a range finder and broad heads. I have spent a small fortune on supplies for my son and myself and have had some very generous people give us some gear as well. It\'s been a big hit to the pocket book this year and I\'m trying to spread out the expenses. I\'m hoping I\'ll have a rangefinder by my birthday, mid-August, and I\'ll get broad heads soon so I can do some more broad head tuning. My neighbor had given me some 125 Muzzy-3\'s but they are beat up pretty badly so I have zero confidence in them.

That\'s the one I want. I\'ll have to wait until next year. Too many bills piled up this year, and a SS check doesn\'t stretch too far.

I would like to get a better pair of binoculars. The ones I have now are good in the light but not good at all in low light.

I need a small 1 man tent. Hoping to be able to pick one up before I leave. If not it\'s an army poncho and 550 cord.

I don\'t NEED anything really, but on my upcoming list of purchases is a new, higher end scope and a spotting scope. I could also use another pair of good hunting pants, so that could be on the list as well I guess. Cost is the main factor in me not having all of these items yet.

Nothing I need unless another squirrel eats my tent during a scouting trip. Now looking to upgrade and replace.

Quality Lightweight women\'s camo rain gear. Due to my upcoming move, I do not have the time to shop in stores. I have a Cabela\'s gift card. If a sitka jacket had fit right in April, I would have bought their jacket.

I currently own a set of cabela\'s women\'s dryplus. It is bulky and heavy, esp for backpacking. However, it kept me dry last season during the flooding rains.

On the wish list going on 6 months, is a backup bow. Due to surgeries and moving (time & money), this is now a February/March 2015 purchase. I currently shoot left handed. My backup bow is my first bow, but it is right handed.

Must have:
6 hunting arrows for myself
6 hunting arrows for my son and 6 for practice
a better release myself
string silencers for both bows
1 more bladder bag

Would like:
Ground blind for my son and I
ATV

rangefinder.

my old Nikon 440 crapped out last month and just wont read anymore. I found a similar model for $50 on craigslist (about 60 miles away). My uncle is picking it up tomorrow.

after that.... all I need is range time/practice and patience for the next 2000 hours to pass! :)
