What makes a BAD hunt?

We\'ve had discussion of the \"perfect\" hunt ... what are some real deal-killers?

For me:

A wounded animal is the worst thing that can happen.
Annoying people in camp are kind of a downer.
Bad weather is pretty disappointing. Not that I can\'t handle it, but decent weather really lifts moods, and bad weather depresses them.
Lots of other hunters ... I\'m glad others hunt, but I like to get away from people.

Being unsuccessful and watching the mood go downhill in camp. This happened last year and the lack of success was mainly driven by the weather. Unfortunately everyone voted to leave a day early, which drove me insane. That will never happen again for me. Taking a day away from my time in the woods made for a BAD hunt.

I have never really had a bad hunt. The number one thing that gets annoying, is people in camp complaining frequently.

I really haven\'t had a bad hunt yet. I could see a wounded animal bringing me down hard but as of yet hasn\'t happened. I enjoy hunting with my son and friends. we all have the same thoughts on people bringing everyone down. its not really tolerated. I mean sure everyone has a bad day now and then but if it last more than a morning. get over it or get out.

I suppose over the years I\'ve probably encountered about all of the bad things mentioned here. But sometimes you just have to live with it!

Always remember, a bad day of hunting always beats a good day at work! ;)

Not being able too hunt. Any day that I\'m hunting is a good day too me. I know wounding an animal will really bring me down, but unfortunately if you hunt long enough its going too happen. Not seeing game part of it too, haven\'t got an elk yet but I keep going and trying. If it was easy it wouldn\'t be any fun!

That\'s only true if you set your standards too low. Some will pull the trigger when they shouldn\'t.

Being sick! Flu, stomach ailments, fever...Nothing worse than feeling like crap during what is supposed to be your happiest time of the year.

My shots are high percentage shots, but I have still made a less than desirable shot placement in the heat of the moment. Sh!t happens.
