I decided that I am going to get my 2014 buck shoulder mounted, But I am having a hard time deciding what mount to go with. Wanted to get your guys opinion on what would look the best. Last years buck I had done in a semi sneak right turn. I really liked how it turned out but I don\'t want to do the same one again.

Tough to say what mount will look the best.
Sometimes I like to imitate that way the animal was when I saw them
Other times I havent

One nice thing is you have some time to decide
Go look at some mounts, take pics of them and see what would look the best

Here is link to Jonas Brothers Taxidermy [Denver]
There are some pics here

Good luck!

Well, I like the semi-sneak versions simply because that\'s how normal quadrupeds actually, you know, walk around. Generally, their heads are not held high. An animal ought to look relaxed, I think.

So, what to do? Well, first off -- that\'s an excellent buck. Showing off his rack might best be done with a more severe angle to the neck, like he\'s looking down the wall, not out from the wall.

Like Brad said, look at a lot of forms. Google \"taxidermy forms mule deer\" and go from there.

Pay attention to the ears. I think deer and elk tend to look a little goofy with their ears always on \"high alert\" like someone just farted in the room.

Great deer....

I think whatever you choose it will look great. I\'d be a very happy person with either of those deer on my wall ;)
