i didnt know what forum to place this.

year is coming to a grinding end. just bought my Thanksgiving airplane tickets and realized it is just about done..2015 is coming to a nice finish.

got me thinking..what is left for hunts? my year was on the pathetic side. had some derailments at work that sucked out my enthusiasm..but fixed them.

i have a hog hunt in a few weeks.
pending..just got invited to a private farm in Texas to hunt a doe population explosion and to take one buck..YEA!! free..just have to buy my license. ($320ish)
pending..one i really want to do..TEXAS SANDHILL crane hunt. i would love to break out the big shotshells and knock a few of these out of the sky. my brothers friend parents own another farm that has them by the millions..heard the skies darken with them.. but i dont own decoys or cannot call them. might be a problem. i\'ve heard they are the most delicious animal with wings. ever.

then, i just got time off for my 2016 AZ deer hunt.that is happening for sure.

what is left for you? just dining on elk burgers? some of you had great elk seasons..super jealous.

A couple more long weekend WT bowhunts, I still have a valid WY elk tag but not sure Im gonna make that work.

I also have a couple antlerless Nebr WT tags that I may go for in December with a ML

But you\'re right, the 2015 hunts are winding down...

Then we can sit around the computer here at BTO and tell some lies over the winter :)

Ours are just getting started.... White tail and mallard ducks will keep us or maybe not but the boys occupied until lat January 2016... :upthumb: :upthumb:

I got my fall turkey out of the way! just need to get the boys, theirs...
other than that. a deer for me and a deer for the oldest boy come November. he turns 10 on the 4th, and can legally hunt them.

There\'s hunting after elk season?! :wtf:

My 9 year old daughter has been asking to go do some squirrel and rabbit hunting, just the two of us. She wants to take hunter\'s safety next year so this will be a good way to get her out and about even though she can\'t legally hunt yet.

I may go pheasant hunting opening weekend, we\'ll see.

I wish I had more, Cliff, but it\'s enough for me to get away with lots of hunting and my wife be ok with it. I think anymore and I\'d be in trouble haha.

Oryx hunt is Feb 19-21st!!!!

lark, Minnesota really liberalized their youth hunting over the last couple of years..... there is no age limit for hunting small game, pheasants, ducks and turkeys! and they don\'t need any license or stamps!!!!
the age to deer hunt has even dropped to 10!

Just punched my WY lope tag
IL whitetails 2 tags (1 buck)
Help friend with Dec. WY lope
CO lion tag for the winter
UPland birds behind my setters

My old man has a late season antelope tag, so I\'ll be joining him for that. Other than that, just blasting a few geese and maybe some pheasants.

Just bought my airplane tix for Texas. Last minute invite to some private property.

I\'m in the doghouse w the wife. I\'m missing her \"last day as a probie\" party at her work when she turn permanent. Oops. I didn\'t know they were having party!!!

But they have a javelina problem. And my Tex tag lets me hunt everything. Quail season will be open! Hopefully we arrow something and then start the shotguns blasting.

Whitetails and a little trapping for coyotes and a bobcat or two. If I get real adventurous may look for feral hogs on public land. We have a few and I seen some sign while scouting a couple of weeks ago. They don\'t peak my interest a lot but could be a good incentive to work out for elk season :upthumb: :upthumb:

Oh. Forgot. Going hog hunting this Sunday. Just a casual hunt to get out and away. No pressure

I still have a WY elk tag, but the season will be closed soon, and I don\'t have a great desire to do it with a rifle. I\'ll probably hunt a bit this weekend. We\'ll see.

Whitetail/Mulie hunt in Nebraska with rifles in November. We\'re going to a spot with low density, but hopefully good bucks. I\'m not picky.

After that, well, I think I\'m done. And that\'s ok. By the end of November, I\'ve \"left it on the field\" and I\'m ready to rest up over the winter, and get some work done.
