I went to Lowes today to buy some shelves and totes for storage.
When I left, I reviewed the receipt and noticed the clerk did not charge me for one of the totes.
I bought all different assortments, but the one I didn\'t get charged for was $5.96.

Well, I looked at my friend who was helping my get everything from the store and asked him to run back into the store with my card and receipt and pay for the tote. He just looked at me and said \"don\'t worry about it.\"

Well, I made him do it anyways because I would have felt extremely guilty.

My question is, what would have you done?

I all ways go back. Feel guilty if I didn\'t. Go back if they charge me to much to :silent:

haha me too!!!!

The only reason I made the thread is because of my friends response. It caught me off guard and I wondered if anyone else felt that way.

I can sleep better tonight though :D

This winter, the exact same thing happened to me at Lowes. 2 items were never charged. A total of about $60. I went back the next day to pay for them. I was little worried the checkout person would get in trouble. I explained that it was really busy and person shouldn\'t get in trouble. The refund counter person was great about it. She appreciated my honesty and insisted on giving me 10% off those items for taking the time to come back and pay for them.

Integrity = Doing the right thing when no one is looking.
Ask my kids, thats our motto!

That is awesome and sounds like you dealt with a very nice customer service rep. The lady was very surprised I sent him back into pay. She said \"most people wouldn\'t have come back.\"

Nothing, but good people running around this site! :upthumb:

Worked with a guy that went on and on about the \"free\" burger he got from McDonalds. The respect he lost from me was worth way more than the $2.99 he saved. It still leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I see him.
