When Is Your 2016 Deer Hunt

I know some here have already hunted deer during the archery season, but what about the rest of you? When will you be chasing deer this year? I\'ve got a tag that opens October 29th for eastern Colorado. Can\'t wait for that one!
 
Our bow season opened in September but I have only been out once so far. I tore up my right shoulder Monday at work so I\'m hoping I\'m healed up enough to go on my Missouri deer hunt the end of the month.
 
My Nebraska doe tags are open now and will be open til mid-Jan but the schedule is looking like the weekend of Oct 22 will be a good weekend to get out and thwack one.

Not sure if I will buy an E/S archery Neb tag yet or not... my freezers are getting full already

My plans are to hunt the first 9 day muzzle loader season here in Arkansas at our deer lease... :upthumb: :upthumb:

A couple of the guys are taking vacation to be there so I want be hunting alone... :D :D Good folks I hunt with!!!!!

I\'m also planning for the 1st 9 days of modern gun season again this year, :D :D even with what happened last season... :downthumb: :downthumb:

My wife is going with me too... She doesn\'t hunt so she will be moral support and another set of eyes to help me.... :upthumb: :upthumb:

Back that bow down 5 lbs or so. It will make a real big difference on the shoulder and very little difference where your arrow hits at 30 yards and under.

I hope you heal quickly and can go hunting.
 
Everything around me kind of opens mid October and runs to mid Feb.
I plan on getting out next weekend or the following! I CANT WAIT!

I haven\'t yet, but my dad did swing through there a few months back. I spent all of my earlier scouting time on my archery elk location, but hopefully I\'ll be able to get up there and check things out before the hunt.
 
We started at the end of September. I am weekends only until late October. Then I hunt everyday for a month straight!

Good luck to all!

Unfortunately for me there will be no WT hunt this season. I\'m taking time to be with my family and taking my father on several bird hunts out of state. He\'s turning 80 this year and my time is best spent with him. Watching the leaves change with no WT hunt pending is killing me though so I\'m counting on y\'all to give me my fix. Get \'em, BTO!
 
Saturday will be the first time this year the boys and I will head to the woods with bows in hand.

I\'m 69 going on a hundred and don\'t get excited much but I was like a kid in a candy store these last few days. :D :D
 
Archery season goes till 1/15.
Rifle 11/12-11/22
Alternative methods 12/24-1/3

I live 20-45 min away from where we hunt so I make it out most weekends and sometimes after work. Saving my vacation for march because baby #2 is due on the 21st.
