Which mechanical for elk?

I\'ll throw out this disclaimer...I shoot 125gr Magnus 4 blade buzzcuts and have zero issues out to 60-70 yards and I have no plans to switch heads.

If fixed blades were banned due to too many people not being able to tune them and too many bad shots, which mechanical head would you use on elk?

I saw a guy shoot an elk with a rage hypodermic and that thing was OPENED UP! Easy blood trail on that one haha
I shoot fixed, but if I were to ever use a mechanical it would be the rage or the NAP spitfire, 125 grain.

I see SlickTrick came out with anew expandable this year.
Havent seen it yet, but I want to check it out

I hope it\'s better than the nuke. Just checked it out. Looks promising!

I have no personal experience but if I shot a mechanical at elk it would be one of these: Rocket Steelhead, Grim Reaper 1 3/8\", Rage Hypo +P.

My favorite mechanical is the 2\" Killzone but the Low KE Killzone is 1.75\" and I would prefer it be 1.5\" like the Hypo +P.

hypodermic.

i hit a deer at 62 yards and i never found the arrow..it kept going off to the horizon. that deer crumpled over the hill and dropped where i couldnt see. i assumed it went further and had a hard time finding it..until i walked back to the original spot. it was maybe 12 yards from the hit..i assumed it was further..duh.

I shot a spike bull with a Grim Reaper razor tip 1 3/8. He went 60 yards with a heart shot and hit the ground. My issue with the grim reapers is that the practice heads do not shoot the same as the actual broadhead. And I have broken several blades shooting them into broadhead target. The broadhead worked great on the elk but turned out to be too much of a pain when it came to practicing with it.
I can\'t remember what brand it was but I know there is a mechanical out there that has a tension screw that you can set to where the blades won\'t deploy while practicing, So no need to use a practice head. I may go that route next year.
