Which Rest

Ok - I am currently shooting a drop away (trophy taker smackdown pro) and I am thinking of switching to a Whisper Biscut for heading out to Colorado for elk season. I love my Smackdown but there are lots of different moving parts that might fail. It just seems like it would wise to go with the KISS (keep it simple stupid) philosophy. What are your thoughts...

I used to shoot a whisker biscut but never did like it.  For the last 6 years i have been shooting a dropaway and love it.  I currently use the NAP Apache Dropaway.

I have been shooting a whisker biscuit for almost 10 years and like it.  I would suggest using what you are comfortable with.  Practice shooting in different ways that may happen in the field and see what works best.

I know I'm a little late to this topic but rich z have you looked at the trophy taker FC rest? My mom just bought a new creed and she put that rest on it. I was impressed with it and I think I might switch to that myself.

I still think Ripcord is the way to go.  True drop away and lots more forgiveness that a biscuit.

That is what i have on my bow now - I am just worried about that cable sliding out in the field and not having a way to fix it.

Medic - I do have a Ripcord as well. I like it, but again I worry about the extra moving parts.
