i\'m an idiot.

i see a guy explaining bare shaft on TV..yup.

had to try it. one of my arrows was wasted anyways. took a guess and wrapped black tape on the back to mimic weight of my missing vanes.

shot at 20 yards. same impact, but both arrows are not perfectly parallel. first time in my life i had no \"first step\". i think my bow grip affect it too much to give it merit..at least for me. i\'m happy they hit the same spot.

anyone?

nope.... shot tonight and my broadhead was way low... moved the sight and all was well with the elk killing world. hitting great with the broadheads at 30 and 40 yards. cant wait to show you the pics when I get back :D

I bare shaft tune, tiller tune, paper tune, line tune, walk back tune, and anything else I read about. I just love messing with my bow! You\'re correct that even the most minor of form flaws will show while bares haft tuning.

Never tried it. I\'ve always been a fan of paper tuning and having plenty of FOC. Right now my bow is shooting field points, slick tricks, and shuttle t\'s all at the same POI. I\'m pretty happy with the way it\'s tuned. I will say I\'m shooting a CPXL with an overdrive binary can system and both the top and bottom have cam lean. The guy who tunes my bow swears that\'s where you will get optimum performance. The rest is basically centered and all tuning is done by twisting cables. That seems to work well on that system. If I ever change to a Hoyt or PSE type cam system I may consider something other than what I\'m doing though.
