Brad, I keep an extra set of lenses for mine in the truck. My prescription hadn\'t changed last time insurance would pay for new lenses but I ordered them anyways. Granted, if I bugger up the frames then I\'m S.O.L.!
For this kind of trip, I\'d definitely toss the extra pair in somewhere or put in your carry on.
Like Russ my prescription has been the same for many years now... So I have several pair of glasses that will work for me...
So to answer your question.... Yep I do carry a spare in the truck and my day pack also... :upthumb: :upthumb:
I\'ve also been lucky enough that in my older year mu eyesight has improved to a point that I can see pretty good without my glasses and I just wear them out of habit or to read now...
Contacts here and the only time I sleep in them is when hunting. I will have the pair I wear up, an extra pair in my truck, a pair in my hunting pack and a pair in my frame pack...just in case. Oh, and my glasses in my camp bag. I practice shooting with them on as well, you know...just in case.
I am legally blind without corrective lenses so it could seriously turn into a survival situation if something happened and I lost both lenses in the woods.
I\'m sure my son would find it hysterical to play Marco Polo with me though. :x
I have worn glasses for ever and always carry a spare pair with when I go on hunts leaving home. They weight nothing, and you spend a lot of time and money to go on a trip to not be able to see.
im just like lark, completely blind without hard contacts, glasses wont work for me. im having issues right now but will have at least two pair when this gets cleared up.
