Wide Angle Trail Camera?

I have a pair of 2013 Moultrie M-880. They are very good trail cams, but they do not have a very wide camera angle (large FOV).

I want to set up a trail cam this summer on a beaver pond that I know the elk hit. This is 1 mile in. I will lock it up. So far, I have not had a trail cam stolen using my locks. I am not too worried about it being stolen since even in archery season, we never saw any sign of others in there.

I read the reports on these sites.

Can anymore recommend a wide angle trail cam?

I also own some 880s and I love them.

I don\'t have much of an answer, but I can tell you that the 990 does panoramic view. I don\'t know if you mean wide like that....?

Thanks Dan.

I am not sure if the term panoramic view would be the same. I have to research it. I thought the Field of View (degrees) was the indicator. I have extremely limited knowledge of trail cameras. I have only used them for 2 seasons.

I would caution everyone on 2014 Moultrie cameras. They had some reported issues and are cheaper than the 2013 Moultrie M-880. I cannot find the 2013 for sale anymore.

Spot on! I have 5 2013s and 2 2014s and I much prefer the 2013s!
