Winter Trail Cam Use?

I do!
My season ended in Oklahoma, so I put cameras in random spots (where I suspect big bucks live)
to see their late season patterns. It also gives me an idea on when they start to drop their horns!!!

I have every winter till this one. Only reason I don\'t have any out is because the land I used them on got sold this fall.

One thing I do in the winter is I use a Vexilar battery so I don\'t have to worry about the AA batteries going dead in the cold.

We leave ours out to see when the deer are shed.

Only thing is the cold sucks the batteries pretty good.

I went to a stand this past weekend to shoot a doe. When it got daylight I realized that coyotes had killed a deer right in front of my stand. The cool thing was I had a trail camera pointed right at the action. I was excited to get home and see the pics. Unfortunately the cold weather had zapped my batteries and the yotes had done there damage sometime in the past 6 or 7 days since my batteries died.
