I personally have never used one, but I have heard nothing but good things about them.

I\'ve got one of the earlier models and it has worked fine for me over many, many years. Broke the bone blade recently and was able to get another from Sportsman\'s Warehouse.
It\'s obviously not a pack saw per se given the weight but doesn\'t take up much space when broken down. Another obvious point is too long for cutting through the pelvic bone when dressing - would be fine after guts are out and no risk of puncture. Really only use mine to cut off legs and through neck.
I like there\'s 2 blades so I can use the wood blade at camp for chores then the bone blade for the animals.
