Wyoming Tag Application Question

Now, I'm not a total stranger to the Wyoming tag system; however, I could not find an answer to this question of mine. Can I apply for the same animal in multiple units? In other words, could I, let us say, send in an application for a type 1 elk tag in unit 45, and then send in an application for the same type of elk tag in unit 44? And would there be differences between residents and nonresidents ability to do that?

you should have first or second choice but i am positive you can call them and ask

As noted, you can apply for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice for a species.  Once you've applied, the system would not let you apply again for the same species, if I'm understanding your question correctly.  Based on the date of your post I'm assuming you didn't apply this year but you can apply to get a preference point for next year....I think it's between July and Sept.

yes you can buy a point out right in July for any game animal i believe the elk was 50-60$  its what i buy myself for my b day in July starting last year
