@20yards!!
my shots were like lightning...never hit the same place twice!! broadheads..hahahah..forget about it.
i looked at my bow, sight straight and tight, nock point same,..peep, cool. touched the rest..mounted tight..BUT..i touched the arrow arm, and i kid you not..it exploded!! Trophy taker smackdown pro. that cable arm came loose allowing the entire arrow arm to slide out. moving my centershot out..way out. and when it comes out, the spring looses tension and wont pick up an arrow. my arrow was way low..probably two arrows widths below the berger.
WTF?!!! i touched it and it came apart. spring goes this way, arm goes that way. this tiny black plastic washer/shim lands in tall grass. ARGH!!! you should have heard the cussing! hahah..
i tried to rebuild it, but i cannot get the tension right. it will not pick up the arrow to the same berger height at all. sometimes it does, sometimes, it is low. DISASTER!! this clearly explains the yardsale groupings i was getting yesterday. my bow was slowly moving out of tune.
i rallied. i took the stupid rest off and dug around my garage. i found it!! my Axion Pulse rest. i slapped it on, eyeballed the arrow thru the berger, set the tension cord..and WHAM!! perfect bullet hole thru paper. maybe 1mm nock high tear. i put on some broadheads and did my broadhead tune. Fieldtips and broadheads hitting together at 25 yards. i fussed with the rest moving it in, and up..and i think i am done. my shooting is not the best right now..my mental confidence is shattered. i was getting 1\" groups with my mixed arrows.
i\'ll shoot tomorrow at the range, to boost my confidence..but if it goes sideways..shotgun time.
i am not above shotgunning a turkey saturday. i\'ll maybe take my vintage pellet rifle. legal here.
