Your arrow specifics

Beman 400s with 4 inch plastic fletching and a 100 gr. three blade broad head. Net weight about 425 gr.

gold tip, Velocity 300 XT hunters..or something like that.

28.5\" (long for my 28\" DL), 30 gr of added GT insert weights.
easton supernocks (hate the goldtip ones..they have fixed the prob tho)
6\" white wraps.
3\" FFP 360 vanes, max right helical.

with either my slicktrick mag 100, or my montec 100\'s..i\'m looking at a 420gr arrow.

(i just found a great scale here at work, so that number may get more accurate and change)

FMJ 340s ... 125 grain viper tricks ... blazers (though thinking of going back to FOBs ... 28.5\".

Am I supposed to weight them? I don\'t.

Beman ICS 340

3- 4\"AAE vanes. Sometimes 4-4\" with right helical

125 gr. Magnus Stingers

This is when I\'m not barrowing Colorado-Lew\'s arrows!

I\'m switching to 400 fmj easton axis 29\"

Deertick, you shooting high poundage or you just wanted the extra stiffness /weight?

bloodlines 340s
30 inches
I think they are 9.7 gr per inch although I might be wrong
slick trick 100 gr head.
I really don\'t know what my total wt is with inserts vanes etc

25\" (carbon2carbon) 400 Easton Axis N-fused regular 9gpi
HIT insert
BAR
125gr 4 blade Magnus Stinger Buzzcut
4\" wraps
Blazers Helical
403gr total

Beman Max 4 with blazer vanes & 100grn slick tricks.
28\" 400 series weigh right at 420 grn total. I love those arrows!

360grs + 40gr of trimmer line = 400gr

GoldTip 55/75 XT Hunter
28\", 100gr Montec

Ok now it is time to learn something. What is trimmer line? Are you inserting weed trimmer line inside the arrow to add weight? If so what size and how does this effect arrow flight?

Yes. Just a length of weed trimmer line down the shaft.
For added weight only. Does not affect spine

One piece can \'rattle\' a bit but not too noticeable.
I may try 2 pieces to get to about 420gr

Its kinda cool to track your elk after the shot and find trimmer line. ;)

You know, I tried 400s and they had a bit of a weak spine reaction for me on broadhead tuning ... I\'m only at 63 pounds, so I know that isn\'t \"supposed\" to happen ... but I like how the 340s fly better.

Rats, I recently grabbed a couple dozen of the 400 FMJ\'s off camofire and have yet to have time to shoot any yet. I\'ll try a couple 340\'s just to compare. Hope I don\'t find that, but I\'m a little Leary now, I\'m shooting 68# and even thinking about bumping up a little this year.
