How and when will you stop your exercise routine when it comes time to hunt?
Keep up with the exercising until the day you depart, Start ramping down a few days before you depart, quit a few days before you leave.

I usually stop exercising about 5 days before we leave. Though I wonder if it would be better to keep at it until the day we leave.

I try to keep doing something up till I leave but usually something comes up that slows me down. Have to keep her happy since I\'m going to be gone for two and a half weeks. ;)

I will stop a few days before but I am still busy getting work done before I leave. I guess it is like I never stop.

Last year I quit lifting and ramped up cardio about a month out. This year I am ramping up cardio but switching up my lifting routine to much lower weight and a significant increase in reps. My lifting change was based on some quick recommendations from my friend midwest.

I stay pretty active exercising up until about a week before.
Then Im just too damn busy getting stuff ready.

After 2 days in the elk woods, THEN im in shape

Mark, How did you like that chest and shoulders workout?

I just did chest. Had girly weights and it killed me. Will do shoulders tomorrow.

lol...you should be good and sore, too! Nothing like having someone walk in the gym and see you covered in sweat, struggling to push up a pair of 30 lb. dumbbells not realizing you\'re on your 45th rep!

When I worked with a trainer, the last 5 minutes of a workout was always some horrible burn out thing. Once, he had me doing bench press until failure, then he would pull off some weight, go to failure, and so on until I was down to just the 45 lb. bar.... to failure, then down to a 35 lb. bar, to failure, then down to a 25 lb. curl bar. I always wondered what people thought walking in at the end seeing me with a bare, little curl bar, struggling to get it off my chest....lol.

He also said something along the lines of, show me where the rest muscle is and I\'ll train it.
