Who is Hunting the Early Season?
Opening day here. I’ve seen approx 15 bulls and over 60 cows. It’s nice because they are bugling too. Nothing super fired up, but they are talking.- DTP

They are still in court over it. My guess is you won’t see anything new come out from Corey (if he goes that route ;) ) until after the lawsuit. We are gonna push and beg him to go that route though. :)- DTP

Backcountry Mileage
You don’t have to tell me the unit, but lots of NM units have good densities and as Cohunter mentioned, you might not need to get off the road that far. I’ve killed elk 300 yards off the road in NM and 3 miles deep in NM.- DTP
