2015 BTO Deer contest sign up thread.

With elk season closing in, that means only one thing......
DEER SEASON IS SOON TO FOLLOW :upthumb: :upthumb: :upthumb: :dance2: :dance2: :dance2: :dance2:



With that being said we would like to present our 2015/16 deer contest.

I will run the sign up thread until August 27th. Then teams will be picked and it\'s GAME TIME!!!!!!


To win the contest it\'s easy. The team with the most amount of points will win.

Each member may enter TWO deer. One buck and one doe or two does.
Deer points:

A doe will count for 3 point.
A buck will count for however many points the deer has. (each point will be determined by the ring method. If you can hang a ring on it, then it\'s a point.)


The contest will run until January 15th, so plenty of time to shoot some deer.



Any species will be accepted: whitetail, coues, mule deer, blacktail, etc....
Also, they may be harvested with any legal weapon. Gun, Bow, Muzzy, spear? :lol:

Don\'t forget that many states offer resident tags to active duty military. :upthumb:

Most people in CO only get one tag and same for those that only hunt NM.

The mountain western states aren\'t as generous with deer tags.

That is a shame!
You\'re kind of surround by single tag areas in CO as well.

NM, KS (draw), WY (not sure if they do OTC), but you do have Nebraska, South Dakota, or Idaho!

There is some quality blm land our east of there.
It\'s very unique because they only allow a few hunters on it every day.

It\'s a pretty decent size and they have great deer numbers.
If you didn\'t have a place to go, I was going to say check it out.
