I am late to post my deer I arrowed on Friday the 13th. Sorry Dan. I passed on larger deer earlier in the season. I saw 5 bucks that morning in 30 - 40 minutes and decided to take a small 8pt for the team. :upthumb: The deer came in and stopped broadside at 12 yards behind me. I shot a bit high and hit the shoulder blade on the bottom. My arrow made a 90 degree turn and went down and out by the last rib. The deer bounded off in an half circle and stopped again on my right side a minute or two later. He should have been down by then so I didn\'t hesitate to stick him again. The second shot was good and he bolted off 50 yards and piled up. He might have gone down with the first shot but I wasn\'t taking any chances. this is the second time I have had an arrow hit bone and turn sharply and change its path through a deer.
