Good luck!!!!

That would be a lot of fun to shoot with your bow.
Maybe I will send some arrows at some in OK this year.

I know it takes about 250 to 300 of them to make 1 elk BUT can I post a duck picture or 2 if I get a chance????

I\'ll try and may even get to post a deer picture or 2 on the deer meat pole... :upthumb: :upthumb:

Snuck out to WY on Sunday with a doe tag. Gained some access on private in an area I\'d never been before. The property was littered with lopes and there were a few in a great area to put on a stalk with the bow. Wind was blowing 40mph steady though. I took a few shots with my bow at 25 yards and it was immediately clear that I wouldn\'t be able to use my weapon of choice :( . Oh well, I grabbed the .243 and was done in an hour. I counted over 40 bucks within glassing range while waiting for this doe to stand up for a shot! Landowner said come back any time and bring your friends. I thanked him and promised him he\'d be hearing from me next year. Life is good!

If you look hard you can see the doe bedded right next to the buck in the photo

Nice Will. :upthumb: Never ate pronghorn before. Going to have to try it sometime.

Congrats, Will!!!!

For some reason I thought this was a bow hunt.

I bet that is some good eating. :up thumb:

Is that the model 742 woodsman? I have the same rifle...

Good deal Will... :upthumb: :upthumb:

Looks like the pump model and I think they were 760\'s....

Thanks guys

It was supposed to be a bowhunt, Dan, with a rifle option at the last minute. After watching a few practice arrows sail off like cotton seeds in the 30mph wind, I thought better of that. During rifle, you can use any legal weapon. I honestly have no idea what model the gun is :) . It was a gift as were the rest of my guns. This is only the third big game animal I\'ve shot with a gun. Lopes are built for rifle huntn though. Definitely the toughest animal I\'ve ever hunted with the bow (spot/stalk). If you can handle sitting in a sweat lodge they can be quite easy though.
