2017 meatpole thread

Is there any way to turn off commenting for the meatpole thread? Or have a moderator delete all the unnecessary comments? I've been on other forums where only pictures are allowed. If you wanted to comment or congratulate the person, you could do so through a pm. Maybe I am alone on this, but I'd rather just look at the pictures and description from the OP rather thanscroll through 3 pages of comments just to see a couple pictures. Anyone else agree?

Part of me loves watching everyone congratulate everyone publicly.
However on the flip side I completely understand what you are saying wyo.

IMO - If someone wants to look to look at pics only, thats what Google is for.

I'm for leaving comments. I like to congratulate my friends. If someone does not like to read it they don't have to.  Just skim through and look at the pics.
