Been chasing these darn pigs around for a while now. Finally had an opportunity on this young boar Sunday at last light; it was a quartering away shot from my treestand, about 30 yards, and the pig was on the move. Arrow entered through the near shoulder and came out just in front of the far shoulder, cut the big vessels right over the top of the heart. He was down and done in less than 50 yds.
Bloodtrail pretty much told the story
My aluminum arrow was bent, coated all the way to the nock, and laying right next to him when I found him...so I\'m guessing it was a near pass through.
All in all, it was an exciting evening...and a nice warmup for my upcoming elk hunt!
